ABOUT PAULA

Paula Pink is an experimental photographic artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, she trained and worked as a graphic designer in London and holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from The New School in New York. Her work has appeared in national and international exhibitions, and is held in private collections worldwide.

“In my work, photography becomes less a means of recording the world than a way of entering a relationship with it. Working across alternative, analog, and experimental photographic processes, I approach image-making as an inquiry into the encounter between light, chemistry, matter, and time. The resulting works do not attempt to explain the natural world or stand apart from it; instead, they emerge from the same elemental exchanges they invite us to contemplate”.
