ABOUT PAULA

Paula Pink is a photographic artist living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, she trained and worked as a graphic designer in London and also holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from The New School, NYC. Her work has appeared in national and international exhibitions and is held in private collections worldwide.

Inspired by patterns in nature, organic forms, and a curiosity for liminal spaces, Pink explores a contemporary approach to alternative and experimental photographic processes rooted in the medium’s history. With light and chemistry as co-creators, she collaborates with unseen physical forces shaping the world around us to inspire new connections. Her images invite viewers to contemplate the wonders of nature and its fragile yet essential place in our lives.

“I’m never quite certain what will unfold when I’m exploring and experimenting with these processes, but I do know I have this enduring, intrinsic desire and curiosity to uncover what our world is “about” - I always have, and if I’m honest, when I look at all my images, after the fact and creation, I think I am possibly looking at an x-ray of everything inside of me”.
